June 8, 2020

Dear friends and supporters,

This week we celebrate the vital importance of the ocean to the quality of our lives with many events planned for World Oceans Week. I am pleased to join many scientists, explorers and ocean experts to share my thoughts in the following programs about how we need to work to protect the ocean now and for future generations. I hope you can tune in for some inspiring ocean fun!

Oceans of hugs,

Abby Interview's Jean-Michel Cousteau about Humpback Whales

Ten-year old Abby, who is writing a report about humpback whales, asked Jean-Michel if she could ask him several questions for a report she is working on. Jean-Michel was thrilled to talk with Abby to share his thoughts about humpback whales and how he believes that young people just like Abby will be the future leaders of tomorrow. Jean-Michel says that kids have so much more information available to them now compared to when he was a kid – and that they will make much better decisions to help the planet than previous generations have made.
