Congratulations to our newest Ambassadors of the Environment Director, Nicole Boriski
We are thrilled to share the news about one of our awesome and very dedicated Ocean Futures Society’s naturalist who is now the new director of Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment program at Puerto Rico at Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve.
Nicole Boriski is the AOTE Program Manager for Jean-Michel Cousteau in Puerto Rico at Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. She hails from College Station, Texas where she developed a love for nature as well as travel. Nicole earned a degree in Environmental Studies and Spanish at Texas A&M University. Her university study abroad program included sea turtle conservation in Costa Rica, sparking a keen interest and passion for tropical waters and all of their inhabitants. After completing her studies, Nicole traveled throughout Latin America and discovered the magical world of scuba diving in the Caribbean. Her skills underwater were further sharpened in work that followed travels: in 2010, she began a career in environmental education teaching students in California's coastal kelp forests at the AOTE program on Catalina Island. During the off-season, she represented OFS by working as an AOTE naturalist aboard a cruise ship that sails throughout French Polynesia, the M/S Paul Gauguin. Now, Nicole is thrilled to be leading the AOTE program located in beautiful Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico--where she is back in the waters where she first learned to dive. She loves to share her passion for the ocean with hotel guests, employees and locals in this island paradise.
