Ocean Futures Society has been invited by the Mexican Center of Environmental Law to address students, faculty and general public in a event at the prestigious Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
OFS’s Director for Latin America, Ruben Arvizu, will deliver a presentation about the mission of Jean-Michel Cousteau's marine conservation organization, Ocean Futures Society; and how through exploration and education we hope to inspire future leaders of tomorrow to act responsibly for the protection of our water planet.
A panel of experts will convey information on the delicate situation of environmental problems in Mexico, specially the enormous risk with the Veracruz reef system. The event will be live stream.
Late afternoon, Ruben will present in Spanish the documentary “My Father, Captain Cousteau”.
PROGRAM: May 5th event
- 9:30 am. Press conference regarding the menace on the Reef System of Veracruz at the auditorium of the National Commission on Human Rights.
