Dear Friends and Ocean Lovers,

I am writing to share with all of you my complete objection to a planned project that would greatly harm the Gulf of California. The proposed project is a liquid natural gas (LNG) pipeline proposed by Mexico Pacific that stretches from Texas to the Gulf of California in Sonora. The 48-inch pipeline will deliver LNG to a planned LNG processing facility that will be one of North America’s largest LNG processing facilities. Mexico Pacific would also build a shipping terminal where tankers would move LNG through the Gulf of California daily en route to Asia where the LNG would be sold.

You can learn more about the enormous size of this project here: here.

I also created a short video with Spanish subtitles that we have sent to our colleagues in Mexico to let them know that I am against the LNG project.

If you want to help protect the Gulf of California and share your objection to this project, you can sign this petition to be sent to President Sheinbaum and President Biden:

Petition against LNG in the Gulf of California

Thank you for your support! Remember, when you protect the ocean, you protect yourself.

Warm regards,
