As we come together and celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd, there has never been a more dire need to mobilize and show our support for a more sustainable future. The time is NOW. The United States administration and the world need to hear from us. Our lives are dependent on healthy oceans and we are the one single species impacting the oceans to the point that affects every single one of us. The oceans sustain all life on our water planet.

Climate change is the greatest challenge in human history and since our future depends on a healthy environment we need to be a strong force, vocalizing our desire to see effective leadership to support healthy oceans, healthy lives. Please see our simple but helpful guide on ’10 ways You Can Help’ on this Earth Day, every day to minimize our carbon footprint.

It is in these short newsletters to you, our dedicated Ocean Futures Society members, I have the wonderful opportunity of thanking you for your ongoing support. The OFS team extends our heartfelt thanks for joining our efforts as we continue turning the tide, making a difference globally, expanding our efforts, and protecting and improving the quality of life on our blue planet, Ocean.

Warm Regards,

‘Now is the Time for Action’ PSA with Jean-Michel Cousteau

‘Now is the Time for Action’ PSA with Jean-Michel Cousteau

Now more than ever, it is up to us to become engaged in environmental issues and continue the momentum to better protect our ocean and our water planet.  The biological diversity found in the oceans is in steep decline, due to the actions of one terrestrial species, us. The time is now to hold ourselves accountable of this loss of diversity and to become protectors of our one and only ocean home. There is no better time than now.  ‘Protect the Ocean and You Protect Yourself.’
